YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
Diversity/Diversité Cornwall is excited to announce our new Rainbow Roots 2SLGBTQ+ Youth Empowerment Program funded by the United Way Community Investment Fund to support 2SLGBTQ+ youth ages 8+! We're creating a safe and supportive space for 2SLGBTQ+ youth, adults and seniors to connect, grow, and thrive.
COMMUNITY MEMBERS NEEDED
We're looking for community members to participate alongside our youth in a variety of workshops and social events. Your role is simple: show up, share your experiences, and learn from the next generation. This is an informal mentorship opportunity with no minimum time commitment. The mentorship happens organically, simply by showing up and engaging with our youth. We want you to participate in what interests you—from cooking classes and self-defense workshops to movie nights and panel discussions, day trips and so much more..
Our program will offer 2SLGBTQ+ youth mental health supports like peer support and access to 2SLGBTQ+-competent therapists, as well as gender-affirming services and fun social events like Pride Prom and game nights.
Together, we'll build a healthier, more inclusive future for everyone in our community!
